So this new chapter, opens up with 9 sub chapters. I'm gonna do this entry about the first 4 sub chapters, and the next one with the last 5 sub chapters.
This chapter(and by default sub chapters) seem to talk about the past of "Yasu" or as you might know it better, Lion.
The first sub chapter opens with Claire(although she hasn't been formally introduced yet) as the reader of Yasu's past. It's worth noting that it's heavily implied that Claire is a personality of Yasu.
The trap twins also cameo to provide commentary in between readings with other characters.
Well Anyway, the first sub chapter reveals that in this(and most worlds) Lion, or "Yasu" was brought to the island as a servant after his/her supposed "death".
And of course, it's revealed Genji was the one who saved "Yasu" from his/her death back then, and kept it a secret, even from Kinzo himself.
Zepar and Furfur's commentary really helps make everything feel light hearted, but it somehow makes revelations such as this;
All the more horrifying.
Anyway, it's revealed in the second sub-chapter, that "Yasu" made friends with Beatrice;
BUT WAIT THAT'S NOT-
Oh, okay glad she cleared that up. Oh and here's another wonderful twist that makes everything more confusing!
It turns out the Seven Stakes of Purgatory were originally maids for the island, it's kind of obvious that at this point, theyy're implying that a lot of the murders, or at least the fantasy side of the murders was all in Yasu's head, or that Yasu is the mastermind to the murders. I hope I'm proven wrong, but I digress.
Some of the others Stakes show up as servants in the 4th subchapter as well, almost as if to drive the point home. Here another fun little tidbit
So after one of the servants makes Yasu angry over not believing in the witch, she gets "possessed" by the witch to punish the servant? HMMMM
The most interesting part of this sub chapter was this. Yasu giving up on being a servant and being a witch, more specifically the usage of the word "modifying this world".
And then there's this, which confirms my suspicious of Claire being related to Yasu somehow, and for a lack of a better word, I can safely say MY BRAIN IS FULL OF FUCK.
And then to drive home the point of how crazy "Yasu" is there's this.
This got interesting all right, so for now it's safe to assume that Shannon is Yasu.
And then after Beatrice/Claire goes on a long speech, the (sub) chapter ends with this;
It finally struck me what she meant all this time when she said "I am one yet many."
(ノゝ∀・)~ Until next time
